LVIA-New Agricultural Building

The Landscape Workshop were appointed to undertake a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment in respect of a planning application to erect a new storage barn and other agricultural development. We undertook desk surveys as well as site surveys to establish the landscape and visual baseline conditions and understand the potential for the site with a constraints and opportunities plan. The desktop study comprised of elements such as published landscape character, landscape designations (including the special qualities of the AONB), and production of a Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) model to establish where views of the proposed development would be available in the study area. A site visit was then undertaken to capture representative views of the site from a range of visual receptors. A detailed analysis of the effects (including cumulative) on landscape and visual receptors then followed.
