Who we are

In-depth expertise

We are a team of experienced, Chartered Landscape Architects providing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA) as a specialist service. We do not undertake public realm design or construction design. We specialise in in-depth, detailed landscape and visual studies and impact analysis.

We are truly passionate about landscape, and we strive to make every project a success — whether that is a single dwelling in open countryside, a large solar farm in the Midlands, or a townscape appraisal in central Cardiff.

  • Chartered Members of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • 20+ years of LVIA, LVA and TVIA work
  • Across England, Scotland and Wales
  • GLVIA3 compliant on every assessment
  • Fixed fees agreed upfront — no surprises
Our approach

How we work

A specialist consultancy led by Chartered Landscape Architects, combining professional expertise with a clear, evidence-based understanding of the planning system across England, Scotland and Wales.

Evidence-led

Every assessment is built around the specific landscape character, designation context, and policy framework that applies to your site. We do not recycle generic conclusions.

GLVIA3 compliance, in full

All of our LVIA and TVIA assessments are prepared in full accordance with the Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (GLVIA3, 3rd Edition) and other recognised best-practice documents.

Direct access to your CMLI

You speak to the Chartered Landscape Architect writing your report — not an account manager, not a junior. The person on the phone is the person on the ground at your site visit.

Small enough to care

We focus on small to medium-sized projects, which lets us offer a more personalised and focused approach to every commission.

Our aim is simple: to help clients secure positive planning outcomes by delivering clear, defensible, high-quality evidence that demonstrates a thorough understanding of landscape and townscape issues.

What we do

From early concept to planning submission

We deliver expert landscape and townscape planning advice to support development proposals from early concept design through to planning submission. Our team specialises in the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and Townscape and Visual Impact Appraisals — and we also provide supporting Landscape Plans and 15-year Landscape and Ecological Management Plans (LEMPs) for the discharge of conditions.

Our work covers the full range of planning contexts: residential development from single dwellings to major schemes, commercial and industrial proposals, agricultural buildings, renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS), and townscape work in conservation areas and historic urban centres. We have particular experience working in, and adjacent to, designated landscapes including the Chilterns, Cotswolds, Mendip Hills, Quantock Hills, North Wessex Downs, South Downs National Park, and Exmoor National Park.

If you would like to see examples of our work, our projects page shows recent assessments organised by development type. If you would like to know more about a specific service, see our services page.
