Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments by Chartered Landscape Architects with direct knowledge of Warwickshire's landscape character, planning policy, and designated landscapes.
We provide Landscape Technical Notes, Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals, full LVIAs, and Townscape Visual Impact Assessments across Warwickshire. Our work spans agricultural, residential, commercial and renewable energy proposals in the Avon Valley, Arden and Cotswold landscapes.
Warwickshire combines several distinct landscape character areas. The Cotswolds National Landscape extends into the south of the county around Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston, with classic limestone escarpment, oolitic plateau and stone-built villages. North of this, the Arden landscape — the setting Shakespeare grew up in — features ancient pasture, hedgerows and dispersed farms. The Avon Valley runs through the heart of the county, and the urban influences of Coventry and the West Midlands extend into the north.
The relevant planning authorities are Warwick District Council, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, and Rugby Borough Council. We are familiar with their Local Plan landscape policies, the Cotswolds Conservation Board management plan, and the Warwickshire Landscape Guidelines.
