Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments by Chartered Landscape Architects with direct knowledge of Worcestershire's landscape character, planning policy, and designated landscapes.
We provide Landscape Technical Notes, Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals, full LVIAs, and Townscape Visual Impact Assessments across Worcestershire. Our work covers a wide range of development types in the river-valley and downland landscapes of the West Midlands.
Worcestershire is shaped by three landscapes of national importance. The Malvern Hills National Landscape runs along the western edge of the county — a dramatic ridge of ancient hard-rock geology rising sharply from the Severn Vale. The Cotswolds National Landscape extends into the south-east corner of the county. The Severn Vale and the Avon Valley form broad lowland river landscapes with traditional agricultural character and a network of historic market towns.
The relevant planning authorities include Worcestershire County Council and the district councils of Wychavon, Malvern Hills, Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Worcester City. We are familiar with their Local Plan landscape policies, the Malvern Hills management plan, and the Cotswolds Conservation Board guidance.
